Contractor Terms

These Contractor Terms apply to organizations that list as contractors on LevelRated or AVCleared, in addition to the Terms of Use.

1. Free listing

Listing, the document vault, Levels 1-3 verification, the Trust Score, your verified badge, receiving requests and reviews, and responding to reviews are free. We will not charge an annual fee, setup fee or reinstatement fee to be listed, and we do not sell ranking, featured placement or leads.

2. Optional paid services

We may offer optional services such as Expedited Review, On-site Audit (Level 4) and Compliance Concierge. When offered, fees, scope and timing are shown before purchase. On-site audits are normally requested and paid for by a hiring company. Paid services change only speed and who does the work. They never change your Trust Score, ranking, reviews or badge. Fees for services already performed are non-refundable except where required by law or where we fail to perform.

3. Accuracy of what you submit

You represent that every document and fact you submit (or your broker submits on your behalf) is genuine, current and yours. Submitting altered, forged or another company's documents is grounds for immediate suspension, a permanent fraud flag, and notice to companies monitoring you.

You must update us promptly when a license, policy or other verified fact changes, including cancellations and non-renewals.

4. Consent to verification

You authorize us and our providers to verify your business through public records, license boards, IRS TIN matching, sanctions lists, OSHA data and, where you give separate consent, business credit providers. Owner identity checks require the owner's own consent. We don't run consumer background checks on individual workers without an FCRA-compliant process and the worker's authorization.

5. Workers and their certifications

You confirm you have the right to share worker names, roles and certifications, and that you've told workers you're sharing them. Certifications without proof are labeled "Claimed".

6. Visibility and documents

Your public teaser shows your name, trades, service area, badges, letter grade, star rating, review count and last-verified date. Full details are visible to subscribed companies. You control visibility of sensitive documents such as financial statements (all subscribers, Professional and above, specific companies, or none). Companies' document views and downloads are logged and shown to you.

7. Reviews

You may respond publicly once per review, message the reviewer privately and dispute a review under the Review & content policy. You may not offer anything of value for a review conditioned on its sentiment, post reviews of yourself or competitors, or pressure reviewers to change or remove reviews.

8. Badge and marks

You may display the badge widget we provide. It shows your live status and may turn grey if verification lapses. Don't alter it or display it after your account closes.

9. Audits

If you're audited, you agree to give the auditor reasonable access to a live job, records and workers for private interviews, subject to your client's site rules. The draft report is shared with you first with a 5-day comment window. Corrective actions must be addressed by their due dates.

10. Ending

You can close your listing at any time. We keep verification records and audit logs as set out in the Privacy Policy.
