Companies pay because they're the customers. Contractors never pay to be listed, verified or found, and nothing a contractor buys can change where they rank.

The integrity rule
No paid product changes a Trust Score, search ranking, review visibility or badge. Paid services only change speed and who does the work. This rule is part of our Terms.
Pricing questions
What does the free plan include?
One person can search verified contractors and see their grades, verification badges and last-checked dates, and send 1 request a month through the site, with no card and no time limit. The proof behind a grade (insurance limits and expiry, license numbers, safety record, verified reviews, direct contact details and alerts after you hire) comes with a paid plan, the 14-day trial or a Project Pass.
We only hire outside help a few times a year. What should we buy?
A Project Pass: one payment for 30 days of full access for a single job. When it ends you move back to the free plan automatically, so there's nothing to cancel. If you buy a subscription while a pass is running, your first charge waits until the pass ends.
How does the free trial work?
Paid plans start with a 14-day trial. Starter plans don't need a card. If you don't choose a plan, you move to the free plan when the trial ends. Your lists and history are kept.
What happens when I upgrade or downgrade?
Upgrades take effect right away and are prorated. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. Moving from an AV plan to an all-trades plan happens in place on the same account.
Is annual billing cheaper?
Yes. Annual billing costs 10 months' worth: two months free.
What if a payment fails?
We retry three times over ten days and email the account owner. If all retries fail, the account becomes read-only until billing is updated. Your data stays intact.
Do you charge contractors?
No. Contractors list, upload documents, get verified, earn a Trust Score and badge, and receive requests for free. Companies pay because they're the customers, so no contractor can pay to rank higher or look better.
Is sales tax included?
Prices exclude tax. Tax is calculated at checkout based on your billing address, and invoices are available as PDF.
