For AV firms: listing ecosystems and certifications
How to show what you sell, install, program and service, and how certifications tie to your people.
Buyers on AVCleared search the way they buy: "who can program a Q-SYS divisible room with Crestron panels", not "who is an AV contractor". These are the parts of your profile that answer that.
Ecosystems and depth
Open Profile, then AV capabilities, and add each platform you work with. For each one, tick how deep you go:
- Sells: you're an authorized dealer or reseller
- Installs: your crews install and terminate it
- Programs: you write the control code or DSP files
- Services: you support it after handover
Example: Crestron (Sells, Installs, Programs), Q-SYS (Installs, Programs), Extron (Installs). Buyers can filter for "Programs Q-SYS", so be precise. Overstating depth shows up fast in reviews, which score programming stability and commissioning.
If you hold a partner tier (for example a Crestron dealer level or Q-SYS Partner), add it with a link to the manufacturer's dealer locator or upload the letter. An analyst confirms it before it shows as verified.
Certifications belong to people
Add each tech under Workforce and attach their certifications: CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I, Crestron Certified Programmer and Masters tiers, Q-SYS Level One and Two, Control 101 and 201, Extron ECS and ECP, Dante Levels 1-3, BICSI, OSHA 10 and 30, lift cards.
Your profile rolls these up, for example "7 CTS, 2 CTS-D, 3 Crestron Certified Programmers, 4 Q-SYS Control 201", and buyers can filter for minimum certified headcount.
- Upload the certificate or training-portal transcript for each one.
- Certifications without proof show as Claimed in grey, never as verified.
- We remind you before each expires. AVIXA CTS credentials renew every 3 years with continuing education.
- If the same certificate number appears under two companies, we ask the tech which employer is current.
Room types and project size
Add the room types you've delivered (huddle, boardroom, divisible, auditorium, courtroom, house of worship, broadcast, command and control and more), how many, and your largest project band. Portfolio projects with photos make these credible.
Programming policies
If you program, say which tools you use (SIMPL, SIMPL#, C#, Lua, Q-SYS Designer, Global Configurator), whether source code goes to the owner, whether you use version control, and whether you commission remotely. Many buyers require source-code turnover and filter on it.
Low-voltage licensing
Add your low-voltage, alarm or limited-energy license for each state you work in. We verify it with the state board like any trade license.
